Working Day
My job is all about delivering the kind of service which makes our customers love doing business with us. I’m responsible for generating quotes and processing orders as they come in and liaising with our Massachusetts warehouse to get those orders shipped out on time.
Even before Coronavirus, this was an office-based role, so I spend lots of time emailing and talking to customers on the phone and of course helping Nate, Tim and our network of partners and resellers to make sure they have everything they need to sell our awesome range of products.
I also get involved in special projects, such as helping customers with a bespoke product requirement, and I’m also an internal sales representative, helping to identify new leads and opportunities.
What I love about this job is that it’s just so diverse – our products are useful in so many different environments and for so many different applications so I know that every new enquiry will be really interesting. I’m learning every day and that’s a great position to be in.
When did you join REID Lifting?
August 2020.
What was your first job?
I was a crew member at Papa Murphy’s pizzas.
What businessperson do you admire/inspires you?
The late, great Kobe Bryant. He was arguably the hardest working athlete in the world while he was playing, and he continued that throughout his retirement.
What is your best business achievement?
It has to be landing this job here at REID.
What would you do if you weren’t in the industry?
I might not be their first choice, but I like to think I’d be the General Manager of the Minnesota Vikings.
Most useful/favourite gadget?
Like Nate, it would have to be my wireless ear buds. I can be always jammin’ out without any restrictions.

Favourite DESTINATION/pLACE IN THE WORLD?
I like to be anywhere tropical - with a drink in my hand.
Favourite hobby/pastime?
I’m a big sports fan and watch as much as I can, despite the fact I always seem to end up broken hearted!
